How much time do we spend staring into a mirror trying to decide who we want to be today?
Pull out pencil and brush to paint a portrait of perfection
Yet when men
With genuine hearts and sincere intentions compliment us
We dismiss them
How often
Do we cringe
As soon as Halle Berry
Angelina Jolie
Kim Kardashian
Or Beyonce
Pops up on the tv screen?
Open magazines to lower self-esteem
And we could blame society
But, ladies
Let’s be honest
It’s our faults
Because we compete with airbrush
Knowing full well that God sculpted each of us as masterpiece
How dare you
Ever feel anything less that beautiful
How dare you forget
That the color of your skin does not define you...
